Jesus said this in one of his discourses(sermons) early in His ministry of proclaiming the kingdom of God.
This is just a phrase from a longer statement that I think you will find interesting.
"Moksha" is defined on this site as progressing on spiritual path and NEUTRALIZING BAD KARMA.

The full statement was:
"Come unto ME, all ye that labor (work hard at "good karma" or "good works") , and I will give you rest (moksha).
Take MY yoke upon you and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart:
and ye shall find rest (moksha) to your souls.  For MY yoke is easy, and MY burden is light."  Matthew 11:  28 - 30.

The labor Jesus is speaking of here is not physical burdens.

Rather, it was the heavy burden                                                              of any system of doing more  "good karma"

(good actions, deeds, works, etc.)                                                            then "bad karma" (sin) that is required to reach the ultimate goal of  "Moksha"                                                                      (release, salvation from samsara).

It seems that every religion places a                                                                         burdensome yoke (task) of doing more

"good" then "bad" as the standard for                                                                     achieving, earning or meriting whatever is "ulitmate goal" their religion ascribes too.                                                               Hinduism, Islam, Judaism(small in numbers but basis for Islam and Christianity),                                                                        much of Christianity and all other religions. It's the most common belief of all                                                                             religions and even atheists.

"If I do more GOOD then BAD, I will be OK".

Jesus was saying that any religious system that teaches "good vs bad karma keeping" is burdensome and amounts to a

“heavy yoke of oppression" because no amount of "good vs bad karma keeping" can bridge the gap between ourselves, no matter how much good, and God’s holiness(God's requirement is perfection, only good karma without any bad EVER).

God even said through the prophet Isaiah that all of our "good karma" is like a “polluted garment”, and Paul reiterated to the Romans that “no one will be declared righteous (GOOD ENOUGH) in his sight by observing the law (good karma) (Romans 3:20). God is showing that GOOD KARMA can never cancel out any BAD KARMA, any BAD KARMA is always credited to our account and God demands a PERFECT account.

No matter how many cycles of reincarnation anyone has experienced, has anyone been PERFECT?

Surprisingly, history has shown that there was ONE who was PERFECT. Only one human lived a

totally sinless, perfect (no "bad karma") life. Jesus had no "bad karma" credited to His life,

Jesus went about doing only "good karma".

The good news is that Jesus promises to all who come to Him that He will give them rest (moksha) from the heavy burden

of trying to end the cycles of samsara

Jesus promises to end the oppressive yoke of trying to do more good then bad

but never knowing if done enough,                     "does my good out weigh my bad?

but never knowing what happens after death.  "will I be reincarnated(again?) or will I be released?"

How can I know if Jesus can fulfill His promises? History can answer and verify that question.

Jesus died upon a Roman cross about 2000+ years ago, few doubt that. But Jesus DID NOT experience "samsara" or "reincarnation" because after 3 days in grave, Jesus was alive again as Himself, few doubt that. Jesus walked, talked, ate, fellowshipped, etc, etc.  Jesus was seen on many occasions by as many as 500 people at one time. After 40 days on Earth after His rising from the dead, Jesus was seen ascending into heaven to be with His Father. Perhap at least one of these eyewitness's  traveled to India to teach this.

If Jesus had the power and authority to rise from dead and PROVE "Moksha" should we not listen to what He says?

Who else can prove they ended "samsara"? Who else can offer proof?

Jesus says, "I  will GIVE you rest (moksha)". In another place He says, "it's a FREE GIFT".

Jesus encourages those who are depending on their own account of GOOD versus BAD

to take His yoke (account of ONLY GOOD) upon them, and in so doing they will find rest

(moksha) for their souls.

The yoke of Jesus is light and easy to carry because it is the yoke of repentance and faith

followed by a singular commitment to believe on Him and follow Him.
