My Belief's

The Problem is SIN.

 

Sounds outmoded, outdated almost foolish but in the sight of God, it is SERIOUS.

What Is Sin?

​

Seems everyone has their own definition of sin. Some even denying that they have sinned. My definition

of sin is "what we do or don't do that separates us from God". I believe this is how sin is defined by God.

 

This is what God says concerning SIN and US.

 

"For ALL (everyone) have SINNED and fall short of glory (standard) of God." Romans 3:23

 

"And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been set in place, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us." Luke 16:26

 

"But your iniquities (SIN) have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear."  Isaiah 59:2

 

"There is NONE Righteous(without sin), not even one, there is none that seek after (the true) God." Romans 3:10

 

"All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way.." Isaiah 53:6

 

"Just as sin came into the world by one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned."

Romans 5:12

"Whosoever knoweth to do good and doeth it not, to him it is sin".  James 4:17

 

You might object to those statements concerning sin and yourself:

 

Some might say: they had never sinned. God says,  " If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.

If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us." 1 John 1: 8, 10

 

Some might say that their GOOD WORKS outweigh the bad. God says, "But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our

righteousnesses are as filthy rags". Isaiah 64:6  God says, "Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in

thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto

them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." Matthew 7: 22,23

        

How many Good Works will it take to satisfy God? When will you know you've done enough? Who decides what is a good work?

Who gets to be the judge? What if all your efforts "fall short" of God's requirement?      

 

 

 

Some might say, "I'm just as good as everyone else and better then most". God says, "ALL HAVE SINNED..." Romans 3:23

God says, "You are those who justify yourselves in the sight of men, but God knows your hearts; for that  which is highly esteemed  

among men is detestable in the sight of God." Luke 16:15

 

Some might say, "I'm just as good as you MrDave." No argument here, in fact I'd say, probably better...LOL, I know that I'm a sinner and still sin.".

 

Let's say you're the best person who has ever lived. Better than Mother Teresa, better than Ghandi, better than Abraham Lincoln, better than any person you can name. God says you're a sinner, you were born a sinner, you were a sinner before you committed a sin.
