My Belief's

Jesus Unique Departure:

I'm sure this statement will be disputed, but unlike the rest of us who depart this world by dying.

 

Jesus did depart by dying but then reentered the world three days later and was active for another 40 days before departing a second time.

​

I know Islam claims Mohammed ascended to heaven on a winged horse. I don't believe this to be true and there does not seem to have been any eye witnesses.

​

After Jesus had been active on Earth for 40 days. Jesus took his disciples to the mount of Olives in Bethany and after giving commands to spread the gospel to the whole world. Jesus rose upwards in front of them into the clouds and disappeared from view.

As the disciples gazed upwards and two angels appeared and told them Jesus would someday return the same way.

This is recorded in Luke 24: 50 - And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them. 51 And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.

52 And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy: 53 And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.

 

and Acts 1: 8  But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. 9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. 10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; 11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
