My Belief's

Source of My Belief's:

Since my earliest memories the Bible has been the most important source of information concerning God, Jesus and all spiritual subjects. I was taught to only believe what the Bible said and to be sure I measured all else to the Bible and reject anything or anybody if their teaching disagreed with what the Bible said.

The Latin term for this is: SOLA SCRIPTURA, which means the "by scriptures alone".  Scriptures meaning the Bible alone and no other documents are the supreme authority in all matters of doctrine and practices.

Does that mean I do not read other documents or listen to different men. Of course not, but what I read or hear is measured against what the Bible says and I am responsible for my decision whether to agree or disagree. I also have the Holy Spirit indwelling me and helping me to understand the Bible.

Why the Bible? I have other pages which explain the Bible, but it all can be summed up by this:

I believe the 66 books of the Bible to be totally inspired by God. Every word, in the originals, were inspired by God directing holy men of God to write exactly what God wanted and only what God wanted. In two places God states this:

2 Peter 1:21 - "For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost".

​

2 Timothy 3:16 - "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:".

​

There is much more that could be said and there are dozens of websites concerning the Bible, some even questioning the words of the Bible. The subject of the history and accuracy of the Bible is a subject of it's own.

I believe God was able to preserve His Words throughout history and the Bible is reliable.

​

So on this website, I will be pointing to the Bible as the source of what I believe.
