Any Bible is better than no Bible...BUT

Sadly there are Bibles that are inferior to others and should be avoided if possible.

It is easier to list the inferior Bibles:

• New World Translation (NWT) has been altered to a particular bias

• New Age Bible

• Good News Bible

• Today's English Version

Good Bibles:

• King James Version                       (KJV) or  New King James Version (NKJV)

• New American Standard Bible       (NASB)

• English Standard Version              (ESV)

• New International Version              (NIV)

• New America Bible                         (NAB)

• Holman Christian Standard  Bible  (HCSB)

• many others

Understand there are differences between TRANSLATIONS and PARAPHASED.

TRANSLATION's are usually the result of a group of scholars translating from the Hebrew and Greek into English, and usually do not have any bias.
PARAPHASED are usually some individuals putting the Bible into their own words for readiblity but not accuracy.
